Introducing Golf For Vets
Golf for Vets is a group of volunteers, donors, and sponsors. Our goal is to raise funds for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, The Veterans Community Projects & YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley. All of our Active-Service and Veterans play for free. Our format is a 4 person scramble. At Golf For Vets, 100% of the funds raised go directly to MCSF, VCP & YWCA.

We believe in the power of golf to bring people together. By organizing inclusive golf events, we aim to:

Our Events
Our flagship event is the annual Golf For Vets Tournament in San Jose, a 4-person scramble where all Active-Service members and Veterans play for free. This event serves as a platform to:

- Provide an enjoyable and inclusive environment for Veterans and supporters.

What is the Golf for Vets tournament about?
Golf For Vets brings people together for a day of golf, community, and giving back. Our mission is to honor and support veterans, active service members, and military-connected families while raising awareness and donations for approved nonprofit partners.
Donations support military-focused organizations, including the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and Veterans Community Project, as well as local community nonprofits such as YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley.
By bringing people together on the green, we create a space where giving back feels as rewarding as the game itself.
How do I register to play in the Golf for Vets tournament?
Registration is now open for Golf For Vets 2026. Please choose the correct signup form below:
Veterans Sign Up Here – Veterans and Active Service Members players are invited to play at no cost.
Golfers Sign Up Here – Regular Golfers must complete the donation step before their spot is confirmed.

How does my participation support Veterans?
By participating in the Golf for Vets tournament, you’re directly funding the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (and the Veterans Community Project.

What happens if there’s bad weather?
The Golf for Vets tournament is a rain-or-shine event unless extreme weather makes play unsafe. Any schedule changes will be communicated via email and on golfforvetsbayarea.com.
When and where is the Golf for Vets Charity Golf Event?
The Golf for Vets tournament will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Boulder Ridge Golf Club (1000 Old Quarry Road, San Jose, CA 95123). Golfer check-in starts at 7:00 AM, with a 9:00 AM shotgun start.
How much does it cost to play in the tournament?
Player registration is secured through a charitable donation via MCSF, VCP and Golden Gate Silicon Valley Chapter of the YWCA.
1 Player – $300
2 Players – $550
3 Players – $750
4 Players – $900
All Active Service and Veterans play for free.

How do I donate if I can’t attend the tournament?
You can still make an impact! Visit golfforvetsbayarea.com to donate directly to our supported charities. Every contribution, large or small, strengthens Veteran support programs across the country or the Golden Gate Silicon Valley Chapter of the YWCA.

Absolutely. Volunteers help make Golf For Vets run smoothly, from check-in and setup to tee support, donation organization, signage, and general event-day help.
